ALA & ALSC Great Websites for Kids
Great Websites for Kids is a compilation of exemplary websites geared to children from birth to age 14. Suggested sites are evaluated bwfoew adding by members of the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association. Newly evaluated and accepted sites are added to the database three times a year.
Ancestry Library Edition
Resources for genealogical research including U.S. federal census records, military records, the Social Security Death Index, New York and other passenger records and selected records from the United Kingdom and Ireland. In addition, Ancestry covers African-American records and Ancestry World Tree gives Family Trees. Its U.S. Obituary Collection covers obituaries in recent U.S. newspapers.
Automobile Repair Reference Center
A full-text database of car repair information, schematics, and drawings covering cars, trucks, and vans; foreign or domestic, 1948 to the present.

Biography in Context is a comprehensive database of biographical information on more than 1,000,000 people from throughout history, around the world, and across all disciplines and subject areas.

The Goodwill Community Foundation used grants to develop short tutorials to help develop skills necessary for everyday living from using a microwave to counting pills to using a digital camera. It is available to anyone with access to a computer and the Internet.
HeritageQuest OnlineTM combines digital, searchable images of U.S. federal census records with access to selected U.S. Federal Census Records (1790-1930); thousands of family and local history books; and a comprehensive subject index of over 1.6 million genealogy and local history articles.

This is a free site on Illinois history or genealogy. It lists Civil War and other Military Records, Public Domain Land Tract Sales, IL Statewide Marriage Index 1763 1900, IL Statewide Death Index Pre-1916, IL Statewide Death Index 1916 1950.

A collection in internet resources maintained by librarians providing users with qualith resources in a variety of topics. The site is hosted by Drexel University's College of Information Science & Technology, and a consortium of colleges and universities with programs in information science are involved in developing and maintaining it.

The tests provide instant scoring, complete explanations of right and wrong answers, and an individualized analysis of results.
